The produce and herbs in the greenhouse are doing pretty well. It is such a pleasure to cut fresh lettuce, chard, spinach, and herbs in the middle of winter. The surprising thing is how little space it takes to grow enough to eat for several months.
Some of the peppers are starting to bloom and set fruit. Others are growing a bit slower. It may be a little cold for these guys right now. Or perhaps they just want longer days.

There are lots of small green tomatoes growing, but nothing ready to harvest yet.

I just sowed these herbs a couple of weeks ago, and they are already ready for harvesting in small amounts. I clipped some dill, cilantro and parsley to add to tonight’s salad.

I sowed the chard and spinach at the same time I sowed the herbs, and they are also ready for harvesting in small amounts. I clipped baby spinach and chard to add to tonight’s salad as well. Yum!

The lettuce has been growing for a couple of months now, but is still producing vigorously. These greens are sweet and tender, and go great on sandwiches and salads.
