Well, it has been a while since I posted an update on our front courtyard project so I thought I would share a few photos showing the progress that has been made over the past couple of months. It has been very hot here for the past few weeks and some of the plants are stressing a bit, but many are doing really well for new plantings.
The bed on the west side of the courtyard has a selection of grasses and perennials as well as some peppers and a few zinnias.
The bed on the south side of the courtyard features a redbud tree, a couple of tomato plants, copper canyon daisies, grasses, yuccas, and a few other perennials all of which are doing pretty well.
The north bed is full of different types of roses, a small rock garden with succulents, and a few different types of grasses. Red passion vines are starting to establish themselves on the fence behind the red knock out rose hedge.
This shot shows both the north and south beds along with the fountain in the center.
Finally, this shot shows the back beds that were orginally built with cedar siding but have all been redone with rock to match the front beds.
