We have been eating tomatoes from our greenhouse for the past month or so, but up until now they have been tasty but on the small side. However, we are now starting to get more and more large, juicy tomatoes. What a treat in the Winter. Below is an example of the larger tomatoes that are just now ripening.

The front yard project continues to move along, albeit slowly due to the holidays and colder weather. We have spread a base of granite sand a couple of inches thick over the pathway and courtyard patio areas. On top of this base we will put landscape cloth, fine sand, and limestone pavers set in more granite sand (this time pink granite). We also have the electrical wire run to all of the beds for landscape lighting, and to the center of the couryard for the pump and lighting for the future water feature.

I also planted some bulbs in the front yard beds last week – Lycoris Radiata; Pink Rain Lily; Narcissus Grand Primo; Gladiolus Byzantine; and Narcissus Tete-a-Tete – all of which were purchased from the Natural Gardener.
Have a safe and happy New Years!
