I selected a couple more of the most recent photos that I took with my ‘analog’ camera to share. They are both shots of butterflies that are common to the Central Texas area. The first one is of a Gulf Fritillary, and the second one is of a Black Swallowtail.
I have been using the Dallas County Lepidopterist’s Society [1] site to help me identify these butterflies. It is a really nice site with a good selection of information and photos of all the butterflies that are common to Central Texas.

I haven’t seen a Monarch yet. We usually see whole “flocks” of them as they migrate to Mexico. I am hoping to get some good shots of them this year since I have so many flowers around the house to attract them to stop and visit.
