We were at 32.5 for over 8 hours, and even the basil pulled through with only slight stress. I am overjoyed! The caterpillars are still feeding ravenously, and are getting bigger every day. We went to 34º, and had covered the vegetables so things look okay.The fennel already has small caterpillars here, too. My culinary sage is also blooming, not a usual occurence in my garden!
